How 2,000 Percent Solutions Apply to Living Better than a Billionaire on Five Dollars Extra a Day

Good afternoon, Live Better than a Billionaire-a-Holics!

Are you feeling motivated this afternoon? I certainly hope so.

Many people have asked me why I decided to develop this new approach to living well for less. I always answer that it's a natural extension of the principles in my first book, The 2,000 Percent Solution.

In that book, I pointed out that most people function below the average result in any given activity because top performers skew performance way above the average. As a result, about 60-65% of the population falls in below average performance levels.

In addition, the top 1 percent of performers usually perform at something like 20-40 times the levels of performance of the bottom quartile.

So if you simply learn how to emulate the top 1 percent, you can usually make your efforts or dollars go 20-40 times further.

In addition, the top 1 percent is usually operating at only a small percentage of the optimum level of potential performance. Narrow the gap to that level, and you can often accomplish 100-500 times what the average person does.

So what does that have to do with you? Well, if you let nature take its course, the average person improves her or his economic status by about the rate of productivity improvement . . . or about 2-3 percent a year. And happiness grows even more slowly. As you have seen from learning about the problems billionaires have, economic progress is seldom an unmixed blessing.

On the other hand, if you simply pursue the closest you can to the optimal best practice for both economic gains and happiness, you can telescope several centuries (yes, not weeks, not months, not years, not decades . . . but centuries) of normal improvements in happiness into a single year.

At the same time, applying the 2,000 percent solution principles can also cause the general rate of economic progress and happiness expand more than 20 times faster.

So if we work on both creating more and using it better, the benefits that would normally accrue for everyone in the year 2405 can be available by 2010.

What's missing? At least one percent of the people in the world need to begin routinely applying the 2,000 percent solution process. To do that, those who know the process now would have to each teach one more person the process each month for the next 30 months. That's all.

Like Johnny Appleseed did with planting orchards, I'm spreading the seeds of this knowledge by teaching as many people as I can every month and helping them to learn how to teach others.

So if you find this whole process fascinating and want to build a better world, learn the 2,000 percent solution process, teach one other person each month for 30 months, persuade those who learn to each teach one more person monthly and read this blog daily.

You can find much free information to get you started on the 2,000 percent solution process at www.2000percentsolution.com (click on the "excerpts" button in the left hand column on the home page to get to the table of contents and then click on the sections you want to read from there -- the process is described in the second part of the book . . . from which only 2 chapters are unavailable for free).

I also offer inexpensive executive courses for individual tutorials in this subject through Rushmore University (see www.Rushmore.com). Chances are your employer will pay your expenses to take one of these tutorials if you agree to apply what you learn to a work-related problem. Then, you can use what you learned for your own benefit.
