Jack Canfield's Key Message for You to Succeed: BE POSITIVE!
Good morning, Live Better than a Billionaire-a-Holics!
Are you feeling motivated this morning? I certainly hope so. I know that I am!
As I promised a week ago, I wanted to boil down all of my posts about Jack Canfield's seminar based on The Success Principles into a simple, yet powerful, perspective for you.
Unfortunately, the written word doesn't quite capture the power of this summary . . . but I'll do my best.
The short form of the message is BE POSITIVE!
Let me explain the several dimensions of that happy command.
1. When you focus on your positive goals and plans for the future, you will notice more possibilities that can help you create that future situation. I often find that a helpful new possibility comes to my attention within five minutes of thinking about a positive future goal or plan.
2. The more positive your goals and plans are, the more excited you will be. That will lead you to thinking about your goals and plans more often . . . and becoming quicker to take action.
3. If you pick even more positive goals and plans, you will also be more willing to share your ideas . . . knowing that others will approve of your goals and want to help you. The more people who know what you have in mind, the better you will do.
4. If you are POSITIVE that you can achieve your goals and plans, you will see the details of what you want more clearly and be able to better figure out what you need to do. In addition, you will hesitate less when challenges arise . . . because you KNOW you will prevail.
5. Part of BEING POSITIVE is eliminating and reducing negative influences in your life whether those be people who focus on the negative or those who are stuck on the past . . . rather than focusing on the possibilities in the present. The Sedona Method can give you powerful tools to refocus on the positive if you learn the method and practice it. With this change, you have more time and energy to pursue the positive.
6. Come to terms with and bury the past. You cannot change the past.
7. Ask yourself at least once an hour "what's the most positive thing I can think and do right now to achieve my goals and plans?"
Here are some beliefs that I have helped me succeed better than a billionaire on five dollars extra a day:
a. The more benefits my goals bring to others, the more people will want to help me achieve those goals.
b. The more people I ask for help, the more people will help me.
c. The more detailed I can be in describing the help I need, the better people will be able to help me.
d. People will think more highly of me when I ask them to help me achieve goals that transcend my own needs.
e. It doesn't matter if I have no idea how to achieve my goals when I start because others can help me find the right path by giving me their expert advice and feedback on how well my efforts are working.
f. Whenever someone says "no" to a request I make, I'm one answer closer to finding someone who will say "yes". Only yeses count in life, but no's help us to learn how to obtain more yeses.
Let me tell you a few examples from Jack Canfield's seminar that may interest you. Jack asked his speakers to provide their services for free . . . and they did. Jack also asked publishers to provide free copies of great motivational books (such as Winning by Jack and Suzy Welch), and they did. Although Jack could have afforded to pay for both and simply charged seminar attendees more, he wanted to deliver a better value to us . . . so he asked for these gifts on our behalf. "Seek and ye shall find" should be your motto.
So no matter how little money you have, be prepared to achieve by using this two-step process:
I. Decide what you would achieve if you had all the money in the world.
II. Take that achievement you identified and reanalyze the goal to see how you could accomplish the same results through applying your passion and positive thoughts and actions . . . while spending no more than five dollars extra a day. You'll find a way. It's there. Not having money to speed the process simply means that you have to develop greater clarity about how to serve others . . . so they will provide the money you need. In the process, you'll come up with a solution that will be better than the solution that a billionaire would have developed by using her or his own money.
Tomorrow, I will address the question of how you can be an Amazon.com top reviewer with integrity. Many thanks to kev for suggesting this topic.
