Feel More Beloved than a Billionaire
Good morning, Live Better than a Billionaire-a-Holics!
Are you feeling motivated this morning? I certainly hope so. I know that I am!
Have you ever feel totally loved?
Do you feel that way as often as you want?
If you haven't ever felt totally loved, would you like to?
Are you willing to share the secrets that make you feel totally beloved?
Feeling beloved is simpler than most people make it. But it does require some work and good communications.
The first step is the hardest for many people. You have to decide to love yourself.
As I described in an earlier post about Jack Canfield's Breakthrough to Success seminar in August, a good exercise that can help you is to look yourself in the mirror every night before you go to sleep, to tell yourself by name that you love yourself ("Don, I love you."), explain why you love yourself, take a deep breathe and hold the smile for 15 seconds. With practice (usually after 6 weeks), this becomes pleasant, easy and very rewarding. You'll find yourself being easier to get along with during the rest of the day.
The second step is easier. Find something to love about those you care about and share your feelings with them.
Tell them that you love them and tell them why. Give them a hug and a kiss after you finish. Do this at least three times a day if you are with them and at least once a day if you have to use the telephone.
The third step gets downright simple. Ask them what you can do to make them feel more loved by you.
That's right. For many people, being told you love them, and kissing and hugging them frequently doesn't do it. Some want a love poem. Others want more of your undivided attention. And so on. But you have to ask in order to find out.
The fourth step is when life begins to become a lot more loving. Do what makes them feel beloved.
Enjoy basking in the warmth of their loving gaze as they feel truly appreciated and connected to you.
After that connection has become a deep and abiding one, tell them what you would like them to do in order to make you feel loved.
Unless the other people in your life are emotionally blind, they will probably have thought to ask you. Since you have been providing them with so much love, you'll find them feeling better about themselves and with more love to give you. Enjoy!
Anytime you find the loving feeling isn't as strong as you would like, spend more time giving and receiving the attention that makes your loved ones and you feel more loved.
Can any billionaire do better? I doubt it.
Billionaires are likely to be skeptical about the motives behind the loving behavior. They ask themselves, "Is it love of me . . . or my money?"
